What makes Korean Hangeul so special? Do you know that the shapes of Korean consonants were designed based on the shapes made by the human voice organs such as lip, tongue, throat, etc. When each one is pronounced, besides that the shapes of the vowels were created based on the shapes of heaven, earth, and human beings. Moreover, Korean consonants cannot form syllables by themselves, there must be a vowel to form a syllable. For more about Korean please go to Korean.

- Korean Consonants 1 : ㄱ ㄴ ㄷ ㄹ ㅁ ㅂ ㅅ ㅇ ㅈ ㅎ

The shapes of 5 of the consonants reflect the way in which they are articulated within the voice organs.
