Shuttle buses for tours in the Jeollabuk-do area will be available starting from March 20th.
Jeollabuk-do launches its ‘one-stop’ tour bus service, providing a seasonal tour package that will run until November. The shuttle will take tourists around the area’s major tourist attractions for one low price.
This year, the Jeollabuk-do government hopes to promote the area’s tourism by more proactively drawing tourists and improving local accommodations and tour services. At the top of the docket is a new 2-day, 1-night tour package that runs from Busan to Jeonju along with a 2-day 1-night package from Seoul to Jeonju available every Saturday. The purpose of the new tour package is to increase local tourism by exposing tourists from Busan to the culture and traditions of Jeollabuk-do and promote the Saemangeum Embankment Project which is now underway in the coastal area of the region.

Jeollabuk-do has a lot to offer this year, hosting special events such as the Saemangeum Flag Festival and ‘Seawall Road’ opening-ceremony, both of which will be held this spring. With this tour shuttle service in place, tourists from outside the region can see some of the area’s major tour attractions and festivities at a fraction of the price of independent touring.
